Polish Constitution Day Parade – 2016

This year Chicago celebration of the Polish Constitution of 1791 will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 , at 11.30 AM , on a new route , along  State Street , from Lake Street to Van Buren St.   This 125th Chicago parade is in honor of the first democratic constitution in Europe and second in the world only to the United States Constitution .  Every year Parade gathers thousands of people devoted to Polonia and Poland. Thousands more are expected to be drawn to the television coverage of the parade provided by Polish TV stations.  Polish values, history, traditions and culture will be presented by the participants of this biggest outside Poland Parade. 

The Raising of the Flag Ceremony on Daley Plaza this time will take place twice:
May 3, 2016 at 10 AM and May 7, 2016 at 9 AM.

Parade Committee cordially invites all Polish-American organizations, societies, clubs, schools, businesses and individuals to take part in this very important for American Polonia  patriotic event.

According to the Rules and Regulations for Electing the General Marshall of the May 3 Polish Constitution Day Parade (compiled and approved by the Polish Constitution Day Parade Committee on Feb. 23, 2012) Parade Committee will consider nominations received and during the secret ballot will select 3 candidates. Three finalists and their representatives from each organization nominating them will be invited for March 2, 2016 meeting, during which the Committee will have an opportunity to hear their personal presentations.

The Parade Committee will announce its decision during an open meeting.
The decision of the Parade Committee is final and not eligible for appeal.

The Polish Constitution Day Committee honored Jan Krawiec as the 2016 Grand Marshall and Anna Maria Anders and Lucyna Migala as Vice-Marshalls.

The 2016 Parade's Motto was selected:
1050 Years of Poland

2016 Queen of Polish Constitution Parade was Ada Ezlakowska.

The Committee of the May 3rd Parade in Chicago cordially invites you to a Dinner Dance celebrating the 225th anniversary of the Polish Constitution of 1791 and the 125th anniversary of the May 3rd Parade in Chicago on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at White Eagle Banquets, 6839 N.
